Need some ideas on how to Transform Your Community?

 

  1. Donate to toy drives: share the joy of toys with kids in your community that do not have access the toys you enjoy
  2. Volunteer in community kitchens: help organizations feeding those in need in your community by volunteering a few hours of your time
  3. Visit a senior living community: visiting a local senior community and providing assistance, cheering folks up with smiles, hugs and stories.
  4. Donate canned goods: gather together a box or bag of canned foods and deliver them to your local community food bank
  5. Adopt a family: know of a family who is struggling this season, make them your guest for dinner or deliver a meal
  6. Winter warmth (Clothing Drive): many people are living in the streets and the weather is brutal, reach out to neighbors and together grab some blankets and warm coats and donate to the local shelters
  7. Donate Gift Cards: a great way to help a family with groceries, meal, clothes, toy
  8. Give a larger tip to servers: we all know how busy restaurants get during the holidays, be extra appreciative of the service providers
  9. Help at local animal shelter: love animals? volunteer at the local animal shelter and share the love and petting
  10. Bake and share: make your delicious brownies, cookies, cakes and share with first responders, the homeless, elderly neighbors
  11. Family relief: help family and friends by helping babysit or petsit so they can take a break
  12. Give books: reading is essential for development and a great a way to pass the time, share your old books with neighbors, friends, or donate to library
  13. Giving Tree: set up a giving tree where the ornaments may reflect a wish by a kid from the community, a wish you may grant
  14. Help someone get home for the holidays: pay if forward by helping with the purchase of an airline ticket, bus ride or an Uber ride for someone struggling to get home.

    11. Selecciona la Fecha de inicio
    12. Selecciona la Fecha de finalización

      Asignar Administradores de Publicación

      Admins ayudan en colaboración para la creación del evento. Al asignar admins a la publicación los admins podrán editar contenido, hacer check in/out de voluntarios y participantes, al igual que proveer calificación de participación de voluntarios.

      1. Selecciona el publicación
      2. Abre el sub menu – esquina superior derecha (•••)
      3. Selecciona Editar Publicación
      4. Selecciona el butón Añadir Admins
      5. Busca usuario por nombre
      6. Escoge usuario
      7. Selecciona Añadir
      8. Dar al botón Publicar

      Para revisar lista de admins y voluntarios:

      1. Abre la publicación
      2. Selecciona Voluntarios (botón) o Registro de Voluntario
      3. Selecciona botón de lista de voluntarios (•••)

      Create Post - Announcement
      1. Open CivicRush
      2. Tap  on the bottom bar
      3. Select post type: Community Needs/Announce
      4. Select one or more categories or tap Skip for now

      Create a Volunteer Opportunity

      To create and manage tasks and shifts for your volunteer opportunity, go to the web app available at: https://web.civicrush.com

      1. Open CivicRush
      2. Tap on the bottom bar
      3. Select Post type: Volunteer Opportunity
      4. Select one or more categories or tap Skip for now
      5. Enter all the information required to publish (Title, Details, Volunteer Count and Details, Remote or Location, Dates, Times, Media) or save as a draft (only requires a title)
      6. Tap Publish or Save as Draft

      Define an Admin for a Post

      1. Open the Draft or Published Post
      2. Tap in the top right
      3. Tap Edit Event Details
      4. Scroll down to the Admins section and tap Add Admins
      5. Enter a username in the search field or scroll through the user list
      6. Select up to 5 Admins and tap Add
      7. Tap Publish or Save as Draft if in draft mode

      Like a Post

      1. Select a post you want to like and tap
      2. Alternatively, tap the post’s title or image to view the post and tap 

      Report a Post

      Currently, you can report a post for the following reasons:

      • Malicious or hate speech
      • Harassment 
      • Copyright violation
      • Confusion or impersonation
      • Suspected terrorism
      • Harm to minors
      • Gore, mutilation, bestiality, or necrophilia
      • False or misleading information
      • I don’t like it/I don’t want to see it
      • Other reasons

      To report a post:

      1. Select the post
      2. Tap the submenu ••• above the post 
      3. Tap Report
      4. Select the reason
      5. Describe the issue as detailed as possible
      6. Tap Send

      Update Profile Image
      1. Tap your profile picture in the top left to open the drawer menu
      2. Tap Settings
      3. Tap Upload Profile Image
      4. Select an image from your library
      5. Tap Choose
      6. Tap Save after making your changes

      Delete Account

      Data Retention and Deletion

      CivicRush retains user data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

      Users may request deletion of their accounts at any time.

      • Users may request deletion of their account at any time through “Delete Account” link located on account settings screen. 
        • Open CivicRush mobile app
        • Tap the top left icon to open the drawer menu
        • Tap on Account & Profile Settings
        • Scroll to bottom and Tap on Delete Account
      • Alternatively, users may contact support@civicrush.com and request their account and personal data be deleted. 
      • Data will be deleted upon the user’s request. Once an account deletion request is received by CivicRush support team, the process may take approximately 20 business days to complete the deletion of all personal data.
      • Following an account deletion request, CivicRush deletes the user’s account and data (name, email, password, phone number, city and state, gender, birthdate, language preference and profile image), unless they must be retained due to legal or regulatory requirements, for purposes of safety, security, and fraud prevention, or because of an issue relating to the user’s account such as an unresolved claim or dispute.
