32 Volunteers Pay it Forward for the Community and Clean Playa Pozuelo in Guayama

Nonprofit Flor de Loto Montessori led the coastal cleanup; Meta (Metaformers, Inc.) funded $4,000 in pay-forward funds towards local charities; And local volunteers got involved to better their community. Why did they show-up?  They love their community and they gained needed funding for their own good causes from Meta’s pay-forward funding.

GUAYAMA, Puerto Rico — September 30, 2026 — On Sunday, September 20, 32 volunteers and their children came together at Playa Pozuelo in Guayama and gave 128 team hours to clear bag after bag of trash from the coastline. Community spirit was on full display. The cleanup was organized by nonprofit Flor de Loto Montessori, with The Rota Kids joining as a participating youth group and supported by Meta (Metaformers, Inc.) as the event’s Volunteer Pay Forward Champion.  Why is this significant?  These 32 community-loving volunteers and their children got involved where they likely would not – a win for them and for the community!

Meta funded $4,000 that was divided among the 32 volunteers to designate to the local charity of their choice. One sponsorship to support the community, one morning on the beach, and support that reached more than one cause.

The event ran on CivicRush, a bilingual Community Event Multiplier platform. CivicRush brings nonprofits, volunteers, and business sponsors together around real community events, so a single cleanup grows into shared impact across the whole community.

Families were at the center of the day. Parents, kids, school leaders, and neighbors worked side by side, turning a Sunday at the beach into a hands-on act of care for the places they call home.
